This is going around facebook, I finally decided to join in. I spent so much time on it, that I thought I'd post it on my blog too. So, enjoy!
Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 5 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.
I wasn't going to do this, I've been tagged multiple times, but realized that I enjoy reading them, so here's to hoping you enjoy reading mine.
1. I love being 1 of 4 girls, and would love to have 4 girls of my own.
2. When I was in middle school I was in a few plays and helped student direct one, I thought I was really good, I'm sure I wasn't, I wish I had done more of it in High School.
3. I love my niece and nephews like they are my own, of course I don't have my own, so I don't really know what that's like, but I can't imagine loving my own anymore than I love them. I would do anything for them and would die if anything happened to any one of them.
4. On my Fridays off if I'm home for lunch I almost always make MacNCheese, the Cheesiest, but I never have milk, so its a little sticky, but I've gotten to where I prefer it that way.
5. I didn't think it was possible, but I have learned to love organization and planning ahead. I used to be more spontaneous, but after 4 years in the real world, I like to know what's coming and be prepared on all fronts. That doesn't mean I don't like surprises, but it's sad, now deciding to go to the movies at an hour's notice is spontaneous to me. I remember the days Jae & I used to just jump in the car and end up in Hillsboro or Dallas...
6. I love most any & all reality TV. You name it, I'll probably watch it. Dancing With The Stars, Biggest Loser, Amazing Race, Survivor, etc.
7. I travel an average of 1.5 weekends a month. I'm constantly on the road to Dallas, Waco, Temple or Corpus. Mainly to see family, birthday parties, holidays, meet up with friends, weekend classes, weddings, showers, the list goes on. The mileage on my car is ridiculous.
8. I am taking 12 hours this semester and will graduate in December 2009 with my Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary!!!!!!!
9. I screen a lot of phone calls. If its a number I don't have saved in my phone, especially if its an area code that I don't recognize, I won't answer. And yes, if I"m just not in the mood, have a headache or am tired, I just won't answer the phone.
10. I was in a sorority in college. KXA is a small Christian sorority only on Baylor campus, not a national panhelinic sorority. I loved being in KXA. I would recommend it to anyone. I hate that people put a stigma on "sorority girls" and that Baylor is thought of as a place where you have to be in a sorority. I had A LOT of friends that weren't in a sorority at all, and most of my closest friends weren't even in the same sorority as me.
11. I have always wanted to lose a lot of weight so that when people saw me, they would say, "Girl, you look good!"
12. When a new trend comes out, slouchy boots, scarves, crocs, capri pants, gouchos, etc, I almost always say I hate it, then about a month later it has grown on me and I give way to the trend. My dear friend Rebecca has pointed this out to me. Thanks.
13. I am an extrovert. Always have been. Used to hate awkward silence and never wanted to be alone. Now that I live alone, I love alone time, infact after a busy week, I require some chill time at my apt alone.
14. Obviously I love kids (since I'm a Preschool Minster, and see #3), but I can't stand watching animated films without kids. I love laughing with a 4 year old while watching The Incredibles, but I just feel silly if its me and other adults.
15. I am horrible at quoting movies, remembering movie titles, and knowing who actors & actresses are, knowing previous films that they've been in, etc.
16. When I was little my cousins would babysit my sisters & I, and since there were so many girls, we would act out Annie, except they made me be the dog. I don't really remember this, but I do wonder if it bothered me, or if I thought it was kind of cool. I'm sure they brainwashed me and made me think it was fun to be Sandy the dog.
17. I talk to my mom on the phone almost everyday. I would guess that I atleast talk to someone in my family everyday.
18. I have had random gray hairs since I was in middle school (possibly before). I am OCD about pulling them when I see them. I use tweezers to find short little white hairs to pull before they get too long.
19. Pancakes are my favorite breakfast food.
20. I've never been off of the North American Continent. The only other country I've been to outside of the US is Mexico. I'm going to Puerto Rico in March, but it's a US Territory, so even that doesn't count!
21. I love playing volleyball, beach or court, just girls or co-ed. You name it, I love it. My only request is that the people I'm playing with are good.
22. I LOVE WEDDINGS!!! Especially when I am in them and get to help with all the prep and parties!
23. I'm addicted to accessories!! I love shoes, jewelry, bags, purses, scarves, etc. You name it, I probably have a ridiculous collection...embarrassing? Yes.
24. Just a few weeks ago I felt so frumpy and uncute in the outfit I had worn to work, that I went to the Gap and bought a whole new outfit to wear to dinner at the church and then an hour long meeting.
25. This has taken a ridiculous amount of time.
K, now its your turn!

...breaking the silence...
Well, a few of you may have noticed that I have only posted once in the past month! Yikes!
Shout out to Liesal & Ruth who actually noticed and left a comment in request of a post. You 2 get blog reader of the year!
You see, Elaine & I had this blog-off going, since November was NaBloPoMo, we decided to just keep it going and see who could go the longest. Then we both burned out and decided to call it a draw. Then I traveled like crazy for the holidays and then I don't know what came over me...I just wanted a break, really embraced not posting. And then, once I was ready to post, I felt like there was too much pressure. What is important enough to break the silence? I came up with nothing, but felt that the longer I waited the more the pressure built, and thus, decided to break the silence.
Since New Year's I went on an awesome retreat with fellow Children's Ministers and we had a HUGE Dedication Service for the New Worship Center at church!
At work I'm in the beginning stages of VBS 2009, and already really excited about it!
Personally, my sister's wedding is less than 2 months away! Travel plans have been made, I'm in charge of the guest bags, and trying to lose some lbs (Sara I may be joining you in the Weight Watchers club, I'll let you know) so that I can fit back into the dress I ordered! I'm super pumped and hoping its everything she is planning it to be! Puerto Rico or bust! Yea for a family vacay!
That's about it, in the general updating.
Oh, allow me to send you on over to visit these 2 peeps:
http://www.ihategreenbeans.com/ - AMAZING blog that recaps each episode of the Bachelor, and sucks you into the Bachelor cult...super funny!
http://blog.andymerrick.com/ - interesting blog that another friend referred to on her blog...he recently has done a series on why Christian guys don't ask girls out...he's pretty right on
Ok...there you have it, consider the silence broken and hopefully more frequent posts from now on.
Super Duper: worked out today!!!
Super Pooper: Christmas tree is undecorated, but still up :(
