Have you heard about this?
I remember seeing some news reports that people have money sitting somewhere and the government is just holding it. I didn't pay much attention, and assumed it didn't apply to me.
Well, a friend of mine contacted me on facebook and said he had looked up my name on the website and sure enough, it looks like I have about $150 sitting in the Texas Comptroller. I'm going to fill out the form and send it in and see if they send me my check. I'll let you know if this is the real deal. Here's the website if you want to check your name. PLEASE let me know if you find money with your name on it, and let me know if you get it from them. Has anyone already done this? Is it for real?
You know you're curious, go on, check it out here. Put in your first and last names and see if Texas has any money for you! Woohoo. I will tell you, I looked up some of my friends just to see if they were owed money, and one of my good friends has $350 sitting there.
The Good News: My summer intern started yesterday!!!
The Bad News: The VBS list of things to do is long, and we're down to 2.5 weeks...this doesn't feel real!!!
