I will tell you, many of you prolly know that I have several "fashion rules" that I am pretty hard core about. For example: I don't wear white shoes or pants after Labor Day. I don't wear open toed shoes after mid October. I have several color combinations that I don't approve of: grey & brown, red & green (unless its Christmastime), navy & black, black & brown. Well, recently I have seen people mixing black & brown in an acceptable fashion. I know, I can't believe I just typed that! Now, let me explain. I do think there are certain ways that this color combination is acceptable, but that DOES NOT mean that I think it is always acceptable to mix black & brown. For example: You may not wear black shoes with a brown belt, or a brown sweater with black pants. There must be something in the ensemble that ties the 2 together. I realize this is just my silly little rule, but it's a rule I live by. So, I would assume that you could guess where today's outfit landed me. Yup, a black & brown combo, of which I felt was acceptable, you be the judge:
Sorry these pics are a little blurry. As I said, were a little busy shopping, we just squeezed these photos in real quick.

I live by the same brown/black rule! Also, I love the scarf from today's outfit!
I am with you on the black brown thing, but I did think that it totally worked on Friday when I saw you and it is all because of that leopard print scarf! I saw some leopard print shoes at Target the other day and had the thought that if I bought them, I could wear them with black or brown outfits.
