30 days

You asked, I delivered.  Ok, so maybe you didn't ask, but you didn't have to, I know you all wanted to see this comparison! Here's some stats for you on my wardrobe for the past 30 days:

Most commonly worn items:
  • wore black dress 5x
  • wore jeggings 5x
  • wore houndstooth heels 5x
  • wore brown tall boots 5x
  • wore gray leopard print sweater 4x
  • wore crazy grayish print top 4x
  • wore purple shhhhhhhhbooties 4x
  • wore black tall boots 4x

Least worn items:
  • wore black fitted jacket 2x
  • wore black swing jacket/cardi 2x
  • wore brown velvet pants 2x
  • wore grayish shorter skirt 2x (which is crazy because I felt really cute in it, both times...mental note: wear this skirt more often)
  • wore brown printed dress 2x
  • wore green leopard print dress 2x - for the record I knew it would be hard to repurpose both of these dresses.
Most other items were worn 3x, which I figure is average.

Nice knowing you 30 for 30 challenge, well, actually, not nice knowing you and I hope I never see you again.  well, that's not totally true, I would LOVE for any of you to take on this challenge! I would LOVE to watch you torture, errr, challenge yourself to this fashion venture!

...day thirty, feeling kinda flirty...

Well, this is it!!! I made it! I survived!!! I honestly can't believe how good it feels to be done! No more being limited to 30 pieces, no more taking pictures, no more posting every day! Freedom! While yes I was forced to be more creative this past month, and I hope it does pay off and inspire me to be more adventurous in my compiling of outfits,  I will not miss any aspect of this challenge.  I guess, that's why it's called a challenge!

I will tell you 2 things I know:
1. I will not be wearing anything out of my 30 tomorrow!
2. I have no clue what I'm wearing tomorrow, and I love it!

Yes, I look like a giant next to the preschool playhouse, and yes, my skirt is blowing quite a bit!

being silly acting like I'm trying to hold my skirt down

Welp, guys, this is me signing off!

Don't be too sad, I'm about to post a follow-up of all 30 outfits, just hold your horses. ha! nite.

...day twenty-nine, victory is mine!!!

That's right my friends! As of tomorrow, I will have conquered this remix challenge called 30 for 30!  I know, I know, you're all going to desperately miss seeing daily pics of what I'm wearing each day...or NOT!

Today I knew I wanted to wear this cardi, as I hadn't worn it in the past week.  Then I thought I would push myself a bit futher and see if I could pair it with these gray pants.  I ended up with a variety of shades gray.   It's funny, I can be a bright crazy dresser, or on days like today, I'm a monochromatic gray blob.  I like to mix it up!

Update on my precious Rebecca! She's doing AWESOME! The drs have released her from the hospital, and she doesn't even have to take any oxygen with her, which is totally unexpected! Praise The LORD! So, in her honor, we took my pics at her apartment, or outside of it, rather, when we went to check her mail.

Tomorrow is el fin! Can't wait to see you soon Rebs!

...day twenty-eight, for Wednesday, I can't wait!!!

What?  This looks familiar to you?  I'm sorry, I know it is a minimal remix, but it's day 28, I had to be "church appropriate" and I didn't have much more energy to put anything more creative together.

In full disclosure, I will even show you the 2 similar outfits.  I would have mixed it up and worn different shoes, but it was really cold and I needed to wear the boots!!

Day 28

Day 7

the final week in review...

I'm not showing you the other previous weeks today.  You'll just have to wait til Tuesday or Wednesday when I post the whole month...woah, that's a lot of pics of Kasey :O

Side note: opperation don't put your hands on your hips during pictures = epic fail, oh well, I guess we'll just consider it my signature pose :)

Just so you know and can try to hold me to it, I am trying to regain excitement for this challenge and go out with a bang...we'll see how that works out in the next 2 days!

...the twenty-seventh day, where there's a will, there's a way...

So, here's the deal, this morning my whole 15 member family woke up to take family portraits.  We had a set color scheme and I was forced to wear items out of my 30, and for that I do not apologize

As I got back to my sister's, I had no motivation in me whatsoever to change into my outfit for the day.  That was until I saw that I had 2 comments from MonkeyfaceKendi (I refer to her by first name, as if we are personal friends, ha!) had referred to Monkeyface on her blog, making her a celebrity blogger in my book, and I was honored that she left me 2 comments!  So, all of a sudden I was out of the chair, putting together an outfit.  The only semi-cheater part of the deal is that I never left the house in this outfit.  But if I had, I would have worn this:

Brown velvet pants - NY&Co
Teal dress - Christmas gift last year
Bling belt - craft show
Brown multi necklace - Klassy Kreation
Brown boots - Baretraps @ DSW
Bling sunglasses - some shop on Congress St. in Austin

3 more days!!!! note: I don't forsee myself EVER doing this again.  If I ever mention the idea of doing another 30 for 30, remind me of this past week!

...day twenty-six, I'm in a fix...

Today was a bit rough, but I managed somehow.  I'll tell you how, by doing a repeat from Tuesday.  I have tried not to repeat a main thing 2x in a week, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

My amazing 8 year old niece and nephew took all of these pics.  They were totally getting into the posing, which was cracking me up! (sorry, more sideways pics...)

Happy Black Friday! In case you were wondering, I did late night Thanksgiving Day shopping as opposed to early morning Friday shopping.  It worked out very well for me! I literally only have one family member left to shop for, and if all goes according to plan, I'll be taking care of that tomorrow :O.  I really am afraid I won't know what to do with myself having all of my Christmas shopping done! This is a first!

Oh, we celebrated my birthday early tonight with my fam.  My nieces b-day is 2 days before mine, so it was a joint celebration.  Here are pics of us from our party!

Alright guys, we've got family pics early tomorrow morning.  Keep it real, same time, same place, tomorrow.

...day twenty-five, I just might survive (this remix)...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Ok guys, today is a rather pathetic remix in that it is very similar to 2 other outfits that I have already worn.  But please remember that I am with my family and only have the clothes that I brought with me.  So, I had already decided that I would wear this black dress, yet again!  My 8 year old niece helped me put this together.

Sorry, as I said, I'm at my sister's and I cannot for the life of me get this picture to turn 90 degrees!  My nephew Brady convinced me that none of y'all would mind turning your head to see the picture the right way!  At least it doesn't bother him, yes, he's 8 years old, too.

Back to the outfit.  You will notice that I wore this exact same sweater last Thursday, but what you might not be able to tell is that I'm wearing the same dress, just only as a skirt this time.  I wore the sweater under the dress last week, and over the dress this week for 2 different looks.  I added the purple belt that I wore with the black dress in the first week, and added a purple scarf.  See, a mixture of 2 weeks with the same dress.  The same, but different.

Yes, I made this last night and just HAD to wear it once I took the scarf off!! It's a new fave!

Things I'm thankful for:
1. Almost being done with this darn remix!
2. My amazing family!
3. The surgery Rebecca was able to have and the progress she has made so far!
4. The new house that my Lord provided for me!
5. The new position at my church, challenging but good!  Thank you Lord for guiding my steps and putting me in an amazing place to serve you!

...day twenty-four, I don't care anymore...

I am sorry for the negative titles lately, but, that's how I really feel.  I have to laugh because today Kendi's post was all about pushing through the midway slump.  Remember, she and all of the other remixers are a week behind me, which means they are just now half way through.  I am so glad to be less than a week away from being done!! I have so many clothes waiting to be worn!!!  Don't get me wrong though, I've enjoyed some aspects of the remix, and I've learned a few tricks and tried a few new things, so it has been worth it.  I fully plan on posting a "reflections" post when all is said and done.

Today was just Thanksgiving prep day.  Of course, made a grocery run for the big meal tomorrow, and then ran a few other errands with my mom and sister.  So, I wanted to be comfy, but managed to try and dress down some of my other options that I have typically worn to work in previous remixes.  You be the judge of how well I pulled it off.

Special shout out to my sis who took these pics! Thanks Kristy!

Welp guys, tomorrow is Turkey Day.  Yes, I'll be taking pics, I hope to post some things I'm thankful for, but you can all rest assured that I am thankful for the miracle that has brought healing to my friend, Rebecca.  I am thankful for her progress in recovery for the journey that she has ahead of her.  Thank you Lord for being her strength, her guide, her Healer and her breath of life!

...day twenty-three, I'm ready for a shopping spree...

I'm cutting it close, so you get minimal narration today.  Sorry, I told you to expect this.  Here are my pix.  I will say these 2 things:

1. I don't know how but this is the first time in this challenge that I have worn these pants.  I can almost guarantee that you will see them again.
2. I tried the leave the cardi open with a belt over it look.  This is new for me...I'm really branching out...

K, guys, that's all I can squeeze in.  See ya tomorrow.

Real quick, Rebecca is in a private room now, out of ICU and doing much better.  Please pray for continued progress!

...day twenty-two, seriously, am I through???

I kid you not, I had on one outfit this morning, was already running late, and as I'm walking out the door, I decide I can't wear this and I go back to my closet and start from scratch.  I literally changed my whole outfit.  Am I the only one that does this?

So, today's outfit ended up being my "black is beautiful" outfit.  I am so glad I put these pants in my 30, they have been a lifesaver for work.

Well, this is a busy week, so I'm going to be squeezing in my pictures and posts, but I'll do my best! Just lower your expectations for good quality posts.
