Moving to Houston made me a talk radio listener. It wasn't that I suddenly was more interested in politics, or financial freedom, or social issues, or any of that... no, it's because the music radio stations here are awful. You would think that in America's 4th largest city, you could find an independent radio station that doesn't have an iron-clad, focus-group-tested playlist that repeats every 120 minutes. Sadly, however, that is not the case. So, I decided that if I'm going to listen to the radio, I might as well keep up with what's going on in the world. Two disclosures: 1. I don't listen to country music, so perhaps the country stations here do better at playing a wider variety of songs/artists than the other formats. 2. Umm, I'm old.

Sadly, however, that is not the case. So, I decided that if I'm going to listen to the radio, I might as well keep up with what's going on in the world.
